This single-level ranch in the exclusive Biltmore Forest community was in need of an extensive remodel due to its poor condition and outdated design. S.B. Coleman worked with a local architect to bring this home into the 21st century while respecting the character of the surrounding historic neighborhood.

The biggest challenge of this project was protecting the lower level during the demolition of the roof and construction of a second level, which added two bedrooms and two baths.

Additional work included:
• Building a custom stairway to the upper level
• Combining several downstairs bedrooms into a master suite
• Renovating the kitchen with a new design, cabinets and appliances
• Rebuilding the entire front entry while retaining the original walk, walls and porch
• Building a circular driveway
• Adding an attached covered brick patio in the back
